Practical Rebels Episode 25: Shaking Up The Mobile Service Scene with Dannon Byrd of Tap the Coast

Everyone will remember at least three things from any wedding or event: a really bad speech, the food, and the drinks.

Tap the Coast is a mobile beverage service based in our hometown of Pensacola, Florida. Founded by Dannon Byrd, the idea was born out of the perfectly shaken mix of a well-timed Pinterest photo, a noticeable demand in the region, and a post-pandemic wedding rush. Transitioning from the nonprofit world, Dannon used her connections and fundraising knowledge to start her business in late 2019. She had no industry background. No bartending experience. What she did have was an unwavering passion for events and a drive to make the very first mobile beverage service in Northwest Florida succeed. Leveraging word of mouth marketing, Tap the Coast has quickly risen to a go-to provider of customized beverage menus and service at weddings, corporate gatherings, and fundraising events.

Dannon joined us on the Practical Rebels podcast to talk about the growing success of her business which she attributes to everything from a strong team and a really good CPA.
