Veronique Zayas
Founder//Strategy & Development
Veronique founded HatchMark in 2015 out of the need to scale up or scale back. Since then, she’s been dead-set on building the agency she wants to work at and cultivating a team that’s driven to create and collaborate to support that vision.
Although she started HatchMark as a brand designer, her focus has shifted to leading client strategy and positioning, new business development, and internal growth.
She’s passionate about helping organizations excel, and leaning in to support their growth – whether it’s a startup struggling to differentiate their brand in a crowded industry, or a 100+ year business making the shift to the digital marketing world. Best business advice? People work with people they know, like, and trust. And she’s lucky to be able to do that every day.

Established 2015
How we got here, and where we’re going.
HatchMark Studio started in 2015 out of the crossroads that any successful freelance designer faces–turn down clients or grow. Coming from the crowded and incredibly competitive agency world that blankets Dallas and putting down new roots in Pensacola, growing an agency wasn’t part of Veronique’s original plan. The creative industry is notorious for a non-existent work/life balance. It’s stressful. It’s always challenging and often changing. However, opportunities arose and a solopreneur turned to a team of two working out of a home office. And one question kept rising to the forefront–how do you build the agency you’ve always wanted to work at? Is it possible? We like a challenge. Let’s give it a go.
In October 2015, HatchMark was accepted into Co:Lab, Pensacola’s entrepreneurial development incubator and accelerator. This meant more than just a true office space; it meant much-needed business development education and support. The team of two quickly grew to include interns and additional support freelancers. Being immersed among a group of fellow entrepreneurs with hefty business development experience was a game changer. Through the connections made, mentors engaged, and general education available, HatchMark skyrocketed.
Organic networking led to several high-visibility projects in Pensacola, and the client base started to shift to include a healthy mix of previously held national–and increasingly visible local–clients.
Since then, HatchMark has grown to a team of seven core members and a handful of partners who bring their own expertise. Beyond the team growing in numbers, the capabilities have expanded as well. We’ve gone from a design-focused studio to a full-on agency with a focus on building brands and partnering with clients to plan and execute on their marketing strategies. Our stable of clients includes everything from municipalities to healthcare to food & bev to tourism, and this approach allows us to bring learnings across industries. To think about things from a unique perspective. To always be learning.
Beyond the client work, we’ve grown to pass on the learnings garnered over the past decade. With a heavy involvement in local creative initiatives such as Pensacola Designers and DesignXL, to giving back through entrepreneurial development organizations such as the MIT-based “The Spring”, led by the Studer Community Institute, being a resource for education and thought leadership is something that every member of the team is passionate about.
At the end of 2023, HatchMark moves into its’ forever home. Our first own building, built to suit its needs and to act as a staple in the local creative and business community. With a long-term vision that is always-evolving and changing as new opportunities take us to unexpected heights, we know one thing: we’re grateful for where this journey has brought us, we’re just getting started, and we’re here to stay.

We Believe in...
Being Better. Every Time.
We are our own competition. We set the bar high and challenge ourselves to crush our own standards and set new expectations each and every time. Comfort leads to complacency, and we don’t plan on settling down anytime soon.
Collecting Unicorns
Just like the majestic mythical beasts of our childhoods, unicorns aren’t easy to find. These multi-talented, highly skilled creative professionals are sought after for a reason, and it’s why we are always just the right amount of picky when adding new members to our team. We’re constantly seeking to add new skillsets to our quiver, sharpen existing ones, and set new standards with our unicorns.
High Fives Over Handshakes
We’re just as comfortable in the boardroom as we are at the brewery. We believe clients and colleagues should be people you enjoy being around. So, when we’re done putting in the work, feel free to meet us for casual hangs and plenty of high fives.
Competitive Collaboration
Many hands make light work, so we consistently collaborate at every level. As a layered group of talented designers, writers, marketers, and leaders, we believe that no one person owns a project. Sharing work and ideas allows us to create the highest quality work while simultaneously fostering a culture of friendly competition and inclusivity. We take feedback as a challenge and an opportunity to excel.
Intentional Design
We’re driven by purpose. By a deep understanding of our clients, their mission, and their goals. It’s only once we are in sync with those that we begin carefully and intentionally breathing new life into a brand. Meaningful messaging paired with impactful design, packaged as a suite of deliverables that are tailored to each client’s mission and goals. Creative solutions that are lasting, memorable, and transcend trends.
Do Over Say
If actions speak louder than words, then we’re all about action. When we come to the table, we’ve put in the work and are ready to roll with next steps. We know that a promise is only as good as the team making it, and we have a proven track record of following through on those promises and treating a client’s important deadlines as our own.
Allies Over Attitudes
There’s something about that golden rule. Treating clients and colleagues the way we want to be treated is at the top of our minds every time we send an email, make a phone call, or attend a meeting. Always leading with kindness and understanding means happier, longer-lasting relationships. No one likes a jerk, so don’t be one.

Logan Singleton
Marketing & Content Strategist
A Pensacola native and our resident fragrance connoisseur, Logan joined the HatchMark team as the agency’s first project manager in 2022. He quickly became the trusted go-to for clients and supported the team’s day-to-day intake and completion of ongoing projects.
Today, Logan operates as our marketing and content strategist. With several years of hotel marketing experience and a creative writing degree from the University of West Florida, he spearheads campaign strategy for both the agency and our clients. Additionally, Logan helps lead brand messaging strategy and execution alongside Veronique.
If he isn’t in the office, we can 100% promise you that he’s with his wife and our biggest social media fan, Jaime.
Ramsey Coates
Social Media Manager
The man who dreams in reels and carousel posts, Ramsey bolted onto the HatchMark team in 2022. Our social media manager and unofficial Mayor of Pensacola, Ramsey lives and breathes social.
He manages all of the agency’s ongoing social accounts, helping small businesses to nationally recognized brands access their full potential with strategic support and organizing outgoing calendars packed with all of the latest trends to maximize the effectiveness of every campaign.
He loves working with a wide range of clients and businesses to make sure the job never gets old.
If you see him out and about on the weekend, it might be behind the decks with his award-winning DJ business or spending time with his wife and four kids.
Tori Jones
Project Manager
Meet Tori, our resident ginger who brings a burst of energy to the team as our Project Manager!
A proud alumna of the University of Southern Mississippi, Tori’s educational journey took her even further as she also studied abroad at the University of Westminster in the heart of London. With a dynamic background encompassing five years of experience in Marketing and PR roles within the food and beverage and automotive industries, Tori is armed with a versatile skill set and mad people skills.
On the weekends you can find Tori hitting nature trails, with her Boston terrier Darla, and thrifting (probably rocking her overalls).
Joe Chisenall
Senior Graphic Designer & Illustrator
Born in Chicago and Raised in Alabama, Joe found his way onto the team at HatchMark Studio in 2021.
A graphic designer and top-flight illustrator, Joe spends his days in the office supporting Veronique and Liz on brand work and ongoing client support through social campaigns and custom animations.
He enjoys the opportunity to work with a variety of clients who continue to challenge him and help him grow as a designer every day.
We think Joe said it best: “I love making things. I love when those things are really good-looking.” If he’s not making really good-looking things, you will find him juggling, being a cat dad, or dusting off his foam finger collection.
Melissa Crochet
Graphic Designer & Illustrator
Descending from the City of Birmingham, Alabama with a song in her heart, Melissa’s Pensacola move brought her to the HatchMark team to join the creative department.
Melissa supports every layer of our design efforts at the agency from brand work and custom website designs to social design and print ads. Melissa’s specialty is finding the perfect blend of practicality and creativity, always excited to learn about new brands and fostering their evolution.
She thrives when clients place their trust in her to really push things to the next level.
A classically trained ballet practitioner and loving military spouse to her husband Matt on top of it all, we’re just happy she’s with us.
John Laneville
Graphic Designer
Memphis-made and Alabama-raised, John is the agency’s Junior Graphic Designer. Although fresh out of school, he has quickly become an integral part of the day-to-day operations. He tackles everything from designing social calendars for ongoing support clients to print layout.
And since he’s a many of many talents, he even contributes creatively to our brand projects and styled photography shoots. John’s big payoff moments are when he gets to see clients face-to-face and see the work that he’s done make an impact in the real world.
When he steps away from Adobe on the weekends, his sleeves stay rolled up with his passion for mechanical work and building things with his hands.
Savannah Coates
Content Creator
She’s probably on her phone right now, but it’s for work. Savannah is HatchMark’s content creator and a current communications student at University of West Florida.
On any given day, she can be found planning and executing on client photoshoots, creating trendy reels for clients, or managing social engagement and listening across a wide range of accounts.
She enjoys being in the moment and thrives off collaboration.
Pro tip: Savannah loves it when clients want to collaborate with her! And if you can believe it, she gets to work with her dad every day. (Hint: It’s Ramsey.)
